I thought it might be easier to post little and often, rather than keep putting it off and then either not doing it at all or writing a marathon post...also I felt a little guilty because my last blog post was a bit self-pitying, and I want to radiate more positiveness (wether I really feel it or not is a different matter). But I am better now, and back at work, and only suffering from my usual stomach problems rather than all sorts of feverish illnesses; and I have sent off my corrections and have had them approved, so once I've sorted out a couple of formatting issues it will all be done!!!; and I did go out with a friend from work on Sunday, first to the mall and then we met up with a couple other people, which was really, really nice and chilled - so really, I have no business complaining about life. And home is only a week (and a looong flight) away...

Last week I caught, courtesy of Hulu (did I mention how awesome Hulu is? Free films and tv shows, sadly US only...), the wonderful, and utterly bonkers, 1967 Casino Royale. It is a spoof of James Bond films, with a cast including Peter Sellers, David Niven, Woody Allen, Orson Wells...it is like Austin Powers, except actually from the 60s. It is not actually a good film, you understand, or particularly sensible - but it did keep me very entertained, so if you happen to run into it, and have nothing better to watch, maybe give it a shot...(but read the comments on the imdb entry, to make sure it is for you).

Oh and I have mentioned that I love librivox? While I was ill I wanted comfort and have been listening to Little Women (don't laugh) - and it is possibly even better in audio than in read format...I have become such a big audiobook fan, and librivox is truly the best thing ever in this respect!

Ho pensato che e' piu' semplice scrivere poco e spesso, piuttosto che rimandare sempre e poi o non scrivere proprio o dover scrivere un post-fiume...e poi mi sentivo un po' in colpa perche' il mio ultimo post era un po' patetico, e voglio emanare piu positivita' (se la sento davvero o no e' una questione a parte). Ma il fatto e' che sto meglio adesso, e sono tornata a lavoro, e soffro solo dei miei soliti problemi di stomaco, senza altri malanni febbrosi; e le correzioni alla tesi sono state approvate, quindi una volta risolti alcuni problemi di formattazione sara' tutto veramente finito!!!; e domenica sono andata al mall con un'amica dell'ufficio, e poi ci siamo viste con un paio di altre persone, ed e' stato molto molto carino e piacevole - quindi veramente non mi devo lamentare della vita. E il ritorno a casa dista solo una settimana (e un luuungo volo)...

La settimana scorsa ho visto, via Hulu (un sito fantastico, su cui guardare film e serie tv aggratis, purtroppo solo dagli USA), un film fantastico e completamente scoppiato del 1967, Casino Royale. E' una parodia dei film di James Bond, con un cast che conta Peter Sellers, David Niven, Woody Allen, Orson Wells...e' come Austin Powers, pero' veramente degli anni 60. Non e' quel che si direbbe un buon film, sia chiaro, ne' particolarmente razionale - ma mi ha divertito molto, quindi se vi capita, e non avete niente di meglio da guardare, fateci un pensiero (magari leggendo prima i commenti su imdb).

Ah e ho gia' detto quanto adoro librivox? Quando ero malata volevo qualcosa di confortante e mi sono messa ad ascoltare Piccole Donne (non ridete)- ed e', se possible, ancora meglio ascoltato che letto...sono diventata una grande fan degli audiolibri, e librivox e' davvero fantastico per questo!
